Americans Spend Over $9.4 Billion On ÂStress Relief Are You Feeling Better Yet?
Local woman business owners pool resources to help women deal with stress. They are offering a hands on work shop and a fun night out to learn new techniques to help them deal with stress.
Andover, MA (PRWEB) May 9, 2004
Americans spend over $9.4 Billion on ÂStress Relief but are they really finding a solution? A group of local business owners like to think they have an answer and are sponsoring a fun, hands-on-workshop, specifically for women to help them cope with stress. Marland Place of Andover is hosting this first time event.
This interactive workshop is designed to be a fun evening out and will introduce women to alternative methods of coping with stress in their daily lives.
As Ginny Williams, one of the speakers at this workshop puts it: ÂOne can hardly pick up a newspaper or magazine or watch TV without seeing or hearing some reference to it. Why all the fuss and fascination? After all, stress has been around since Adam and Eve were evicted from the Garden of Eden. Is it because there is much more stress today? Or is it because scientific research has increasingly confirmed the crucial role stress can play in causing and aggravating different disorders and diseases? The answer to all of these questions is a very resounding YES!Â
Ms. Williams is a Business and Life Coach from North Andover and her nation-wide practice includes men and women of all ages and backgrounds.
According to Ms. Williams, ÂStress has been described as America's #1 Health Problem and job stress is the major culprit. As part of the "Wellness Workshop" on May 20th, Ginny will be discussing "10 Tips for Managing Stress", offering participants a variety of ways to cope with the challenges of everyday life.
Dr. Michael DiMauro of Bay State Chiropractic & Sports Injuries will be doing a demonstration of stress reducing exercises. Trish Martini of Gourmet Occasions, and an Instructor at Northern Essex Community College, will be speaking about menu planning and getting organized in the kitchen. Other exhibitors and speakers include: Myda Muse of Mary Kay Cosmetics, Karen Mayer of Reliv International a nutritional products company, and Christina Williams a Certified Reiki Practitioner will do a demonstration of relaxation meditation, then give a brief talk about Reiki, and it's uses.
A free raffle will be held for door prizes. Food and light refreshments will be provided at no additional cost.
The pre-registration price for the WomenÂs Wellness Workshop is $10. The price at the door the price is $15. The workshop is being held at Marland Place, 15 Stevens Street, Andover from 7:00 to 9:00 p. m. To register or for more information please call (978) 501-0865.
